Spruce Art & Support is proudly based in White Rock / South Surrey, serving individuals, families, and community organizations throughout the area.

What We Offer

Our Services are non-medical, non-clinical support & creative wellness at home and in your community.

The “Check-In” Program:

Ideal for Light assistance and friendly connection.

Includes:

  • Companionship and conversation

  • Optional creative activity during visits

  • Grocery shopping or local errands assistance

  • Appointment accompaniment

  • Light household assistance (non-specialized tasks) ie. replacing lightbulbs, tidying up.

Format:

  • 1–2 visits per week

  • Flexible scheduling


The "Creative Wellness"Program:

Ideal for light assistance and creative connection.

Includes

everything in the check-in program plus:

  • Guided art activities for relaxation and expression

  • Creative journaling or gentle art projects

  • Support tailored to individual interests and comfort

Format:

  • 2-3 weekly visits

  • Creative focus integrated

    naturally into each visit


The "Full Independence"Program: 

Includes everything in previous packages plus:

  • Regular companionship and check-ins

  • Creative wellness activities

  • Errands and practical day to day assistance

  • In-home hair services and personal presentation support

Format:

  • 3+ weekly visits

  • Consistent schedule and support

Our prices

Monthly Support Plans:(RECOMMENDED)

$35-$38/hour

Lower rates for consistent support

Priority scheduling 2-hours minimum.

4 visits/month: $38/hr

8 visits/month: $36/hr

12+ visits/month: $35/hr

Single Visits:

$40/hour

No commitment

2-hour minimum

Best for: first-time visits, occasional support.

Emma Francis

Michael Malin

Is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts and brings nearly a decade of experience as a foster parent, supporting individuals and families in everyday life. He is deeply passionate about creativity as a tool for self-expression, connection, and personal growth. Known for his calm, kind-hearted nature, Michael approaches his work with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to be helpful and supportive in meaningful ways.

Has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, graduating with honours and academic distinction. She has a deep appreciation for nature and the environment, which often influences her creative work. Emma is passionate about supporting self-expression through art and enjoys guiding others in discovering confidence and connection through creative exploration.

The name Spruce reflects how we approach our work grounded, steady, and focused on growth over time. We believe that care and creativity can strengthen everyday life through small, meaningful moments: a shared activity, a helpful visit, a thoughtful conversation.

Our Community Programs:

(Group Programs & Sessions)

Inclusive, welcoming art based wellness sessions. Offered in a community settings, these programs focus on creativity, connection, and small social engagement in a low pressure environment.


Community Art & Wellness program:


Sessions may include:

  • Gentle art making activities

  • Focus on creativity, calm/relaxing and social connection

  • Inclusive and sensory considerate facilitation

  • No art experience required

Program options:

  • One time introductory workshops

  • Weekly or bi-weekly sessions

  • (Recommended) Short creative series (4–6 weeks)

All community programs are non-medical, non -clinical and designed to complement existing services and activities.


The Hybrid Program:


(In-Home + Community)

Some individuals prefer to begin with our community sessions, others with in-home support. But many choose a mix of both.

Includes:

  • Community creative wellness sessions

  • In-home art and life support visits

  • Like community errands support

  • Flexible scheduling

Hybrid plans are customized following an initial conversation to ensure the right balance of support.
